Nokia 3220
The Nokia 3220 is an attractive fashion
phone, weighing in at just 86 grams and
packed with features to get you and your
phone noticed.
The phone's unusual shape is due to the
Xpress-on grip, making the phone easy to
hold. The 3220's grip also has a set of
LEDs in it that flash in time with your
ringtone or Java game, and you can swap
out the LED covers for ones of different
covers to personalise it.
In fact, the Nokia 3220 is all about
personalisation. Like the Nokia
3200, you can print your own inserts
for the back of the phone, or buy ready-made
ones. The inserts are much less fiddly than
the 3200's too.
There's an optional fun shell for the
3220, which comes with a set of LEDs on
the back for "wave writing" text
messages, a tilt sensor for gaming and a
couple of games thrown in.
As standard the Nokia 3220 comes with
three games, and you can download a selection
of Java games for even more fun. There's
a VGA resolution digital camera, an XHTML
web browser, multiemedia messaging and
polyphonic ringtones too.
Underneath is a tri-band GSM phone with
GPRS data support that can connect to a
PC using a USB cable. The Nokia 3220's screen
measures 128x128 pixels in 65,000 colours,
and the phone measures 105x44x19 mm and
weighs just 86 grams. Talktime is about
3 hours with up to 12 days standby.
