Samsung P730 (SGH-P730)
Samsung loves clever phones, and the
new P730 is no exception. Featuring a high
resolution 1024x864 pixel digital camera
(0.8 megapixels), along with a novel "twist
and flip" case to allow all sorts of
clever things to be done with the camera,
the P730 is both highly specified and
attractive.
The Samsung P730 features a large 176x192
pixel internal display in 262,000 colours
and a smaller 96x64 pixel display on the
outside.
The P730's camera is capable of taking
video (at 240x320 pixels) as well as
photo stills, and it has a timer and several
photo editing effects. You can even make
video calls.
These advanced features are normally
found on 3G phones, but the P730 is a tri-band
GSM phone with GPRS, bringing those great
video features to the rest of us.
In addition to the great camera and screen,
the P730 plays back MP3 music, has Java
support for games and other applications,
WAP, polyphonic ringtones, MMS and a set
of applications.
The Samsung P730 takes MMC memory cards,
boosting the standard 64Mb of memory by
a further maximum of 512Mb. This should
allow plenty of music and video files to
be stored. These can then be transferred
to a PC by USB cable or infra-red port,
or by using an MMC compatible card reader.
