Samsung D410 (SGH-D410)
The Samsung D410 features an unusual
sliding keypad hidden behind a very large
display in 176x220 pixels and 252,000 colours,
making it one of the best in it's class.
We've seen sliding units like this before,
the D410 is very similar in many respects
to the Siemens
SL55, but the Samsung is a much
larger and more powerful handset.
The D410 is about the same size as an
average clamshell, only a little thicker
and heavier. The swivelling VGA resolution
digital camera is something we've seen on
other Samsungs and is pretty cool.
At it's heart, the D410 is a tri-band
GSM 900/1800/1900 phone supporting WAP over
GPRS and connects to a local PC with a cable
or infra-red. There's Java support for games,
plus polyphonic ringtones and all the usual
multimedia enhancements you might expect.
A clever phone, and technically one of
the leading phones in it's class. Although
the chunky styling and external antenna
might put some people off, we think that
the Samsung D410 will give the competition
something to worry about
