Sony Ericsson Z800i
The striking lines of the Sony Ericsson
Z800i house a powerful 3G clamshell phone
with a rotating 1.3 megapixel digital camera
(Sony Ericsson call this technology "Motion
Eye), a large 176x220 pixel main display
in 262,000 colours, expandable memory using
Memory Stick Duo cards and Bluetooth.
As well as making voice calls, the Sony
Ericsson Z800i can access you email, surf
the web using the WAP 2.0 browser and high
speed UMTS connection, receive streaming
media such as video clips, carry out 3G
video calling and MMS messaging. In addition,
the Z800i will play back a variety of multimedia
formats including MP3s and video clips.
You can connect the Z800i to a PC using
Bluetooth, USB or serial cable on an infra-red
connection to transfer files or synchronise
your contacts and other data using SyncML.
There's a range of PIM (personal information
management) functions on the Z800i, including
contact management and a task scheduler,
and you can add more Java applications and
games for added fun and flexibility. Of
course, the Z800i also supports polyphonic
ringtones and Sony Ericsson even include
a MIDI composer so that you can creat your
own.
