NEC E101
The NEC E101 is a compact GSM camera
phone, available exclusively to O2 customers.
Unlike some other NEC handsets, this
isn't a 3G unit, but instead it's a tri-band
GSM device with GPRS data access. There's
a 128x160 pixel internal display in 65,000
colours on the NEC E101, plus an smaller
monochrome display on the outside at 96x64
pixels.
On the back of the E101 is a VGA resolution
camera with 4X digital zoom, and the NEC
E101 can send and receive pictures via MMS
messaging, or they can be transferred to
a PC via a cable.
You can browse the web on the NEC E101
using the phone's built-in WAP 2.0 browser,
and in addition you can download Java games
and polyphonic ringtones. The NEC E101 is
integrated into O2's Active service to make
it easy to get at information and downloads.
Despite having all these features, the
NEC E101 is a compact handset, weighing
just 80 grams and measuring 84x45x24mm.
