Sony Ericsson V800 (V800i)

The Sony Ericsson V800 is one of a series of 3G phones launched by Vodafone worldwide, and they demostrate just how much progress has been made with this type of handset.

The V800 features a large 176x220 pixel display, 1.3 megapixel digital camera and Bluetooth. At 128 grams, this is fairly light for a 3G phone, and the V800 measures 102x49x24mm, making it just a little larger than less powerful 2G phones.

Data speeds on the 3G network are up to 384kps, and the V800 allows for streaming media, video calls, and has a web browser and email client built in.

It's not all about communicating though - the Sony Ericsson V800 comes with 3D graphics acceleration and Java for games, 32Mb of memory expandable to 1Gb with Memory Stick cards for a rich multimedia experience, plus all the bells and whistles you'd expect from an advanced handset.
