Siemens M65
The Siemens M65 is aimed at those people
who enjoy sports and outdoors activities and need a phone that's
a little tougher than normal.
It features a large 132x176 pixel
display in 65,000 colours and has a built-in VGA camera.
The M65 has Java support for games which play well on
the large screen. Siemens are committed
to making a range of sports and action games
available for the M65.
The M65 is
designed to be water, shock and dust resistant, and
there's a metal protection frame, shock-adsorbing
casing and some funky orange covers to protect
sensitive parts of the handset - a simple
but useful idea.
There's an optional "Bike-o-meter"
function in the M65 that means you can plug it in
to your bicycle for telemetry and navigation information.
The Siemens M65 is
pitched at a niche market segment - there
aren't many other toughened phones out there.
We suspect that this might be quite a popular
phone though, with an appealing combination
of toughness, competitive specification
and smart-but-understated looks.
