O2 X1
The O2 X1 is a clamshell camera phone,
tightly integrated into the O2 Active service.
It weighs just 80 grams, and it comes with
all the usual features of this class of
clamshell camera phone, including a 640x480
pixel camera.
In size terms, the X1 is 89x48x23.5mm
which is about the standard for a clamshell
(image is actual size on a 72dpi monitor),
although it is quite light. Talktime is
up to 5 hours with a standby time of up
to 3 days.
GPRS, polyphonic ringtones, Java, a good
colour screen and the usual bells and whistles
that go into a high-end clamshell phone
make the X1 an interesting choice
in pure technical terms, but the killer
twist is the low price, typically much lower
than other similar clamshells.
All in all, this is a fully loaded little
phone and it offers easy access to
O2's enhanced Active services. Add to that
the X1's great styling and ease of use,
then it's clear that this phone is a winner.
